Geisinger CEO Will Lead Google's Health Strategy

Google has tapped Geisinger Health CEO David Feinberg to shape the company's health strategy. CNBC reports that Feinberg will be charged with organizing Google's fragmented health initiatives, which overlap many business groups.

These various health units include its cloud business, Nest home automation, Google fitness wearables and Google Brain. It's not known how Feinberg will work with Alphabet — the holding company that gives ambitious Google projects the resources to bring ideas to life.

Feinberg is the second leader of a major innovative health system to join Google this year. Toby Cosgrove, who headed the Cleveland Clinic for decades, became an adviser to the Google Cloud health care and life sciences team earlier this year.
