Quality Measures

The White House June 24 released an executive order on “improving price and quality transparency in American health care.” The executive order focuses on five policies:
AHA comments on the Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services’ (CMS) hospital inpatient prospective payment system (PPS) proposed rule for fiscal year (FY) 2020.
AHA comments on the LTCH provisions in the Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services’ fiscal year 2020 proposed rule for the inpatient and LTCH prospective payment systems.
AHA's comment on the Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services’ fiscal year 2020 proposed rule on the SNF prospective payment system.
AHA comments on the Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services’ fiscal year 2020 proposed rule for the IRF prospective payment system.
On April 23, the Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services issued its fiscal year 2020 proposed rule for the inpatient and long-term care hospital prospective payment systems. Comments on the rule are due to CMS by June 24. This AAHA advisory covers the rule’s LTCH-related provisions.
On April 17, the Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services released its fiscal year 2020 proposed rule for the inpatient rehabilitation facility prospective payment system. Comments on the rule are due June 17. The final rule is expected around Aug. 1 and will take effect Oct. 1.
