The Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS) Oct. 29 issued a final rule with comment period requiring states to submit plans to monitor access to care for Medicaid beneficiaries, and establishing new review procedures for proposed rate changes in the Medicaid fee-for-service program.
On June 1, CMS published in the Federal Register a long-awaited proposed rule that would modernize the Medicaid and Childrens Health Insurance Program managed care regulations.
On April 10, the CMS released a proposed rule that would apply certain requirements of the Mental Health Parity and Addiction Equity Act of 2008 to coverage offered by Medicaid managed care organizations, Medicaid alternative benefit plans and Childrens Health Insurance Program plans.
