The Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services August 2 issued a final rule for the long-term care hospital prospective payment system for fiscal year (FY) 2019. In general, this rule takes effect Oct. 1; however, some key provisions were finalized for implementation in FYs 2020 and 2021.
