AHA video shares highlights of this week’s Hill briefing on health care workforce challenges
The AHA sponsored a virtual Capitol Hill briefing Nov. 2, where hospital leaders discussed how COVID-19 accelerated longstanding health care workforce challenges, including worker shortages and mental health fatigue. Watch highlights of the briefing that featured Mary Beth Kingston, R.N., chief nursing officer at Advocate Aurora Health and member of the AHA Board of Trustees; David Zaas, M.D., CEO at MUSC Health-Charleston Division and chief clinical officer at MUSC Health in Charleston, S.C.; and Leonard R.
