How You're Transforming: Advocate Aurora Health

In their first joint initiative since forming a collaboration to drive innovation, Advocate Aurora Health and Chicago-based health technology incubator Matter launched the Health Care Tech Venture Challenge. The nationwide competition is designed to stimulate ideas and solutions to address challenges in primary care.

The challenge will offer one startup $10,000 and curated sessions with subject matter experts based on the winning team's needs. Advocate Aurora Health will also explore potential opportunities with other finalists to develop or pilot technologies at its more than 500 care sites in Illinois and Wisconsin. Applications are due Nov. 12.

"Technology and innovation will drive the future of health and wellness, and this collaboration helps to accelerate the development of a health tech ecosystem that is reimagining care delivery," said Jim Skogsbergh, president and CEO of Advocate Aurora Health.

As part of their ongoing collaboration, Advocate Aurora Health and Matter will explore emerging health IT tools, including telehealth, patient portals, clinical decision support, wearables and artificial intelligence.
