In Vermont, four seasons of state-of-the-art othopedic care

The Vermont towns of Morrisville and Waterbury, nestled in the Green Mountains and near the acclaimed Stowe Mountain ski resort, attract residents and visitors who enjoy hiking, biking, downhill and cross-country skiing, swimming and exploring the nearby state parks. But active lifestyles can take their toll; injuries and wear-and-tear associated with four seasons of activity are a normal occurrence for both residents and visitors.

That’s why Copley Hospital and its two orthopedic clinics, located in both towns, have highly trained and experienced orthopedic and sports medicine teams to meet the health needs of people in these communities and other parts of the state.

Noting that many of its orthopedic specialists are “active athletes and outdoor enthusiasts” who are well-suited to serve the “active, four-season lifestyle of our patients,” Copley Hospital specializes in pain-relieving treatments, groundbreaking resurfacing procedures and highly advanced total joint replacement surgeries. By offering the latest in orthopedic surgery technology and new techniques, the care team’s objective is to perform minimally invasive surgery.

The team of advanced practitioners, nurses, technicians and rehabilitation therapists also provides patient education on all treatment options, encourages early mobility after surgery and leads a total joint replacement class to prepare patients and their families for that experience. In addition to delivering care for orthopedic injuries, the team provides treatment for degenerative conditions such as osteoarthritis.

With a “significant demand” for services, Copley Hospital is building a new and bigger orthopedics clinic in Waterbury to replace the current building it rents. The new clinic is scheduled to open in the summer of 2024.
