An investment in state-of-the-art medical imaging is good news for Wyomingites. This summer, Cheyenne Regional Medical Center became the first and so far only medical facility in the state to offer the Siemens Biograph Vision™, a next generation positron emission tomography/computed tomography (PET/CT) scanner that yields medical images with greater accuracy and efficiency and with less radiation exposure than older scanners.

Among its other advantages are shorter scan times, providing greater patient comfort and decreases unnecessary exposure to CT radiation.

Additional enhancements have been made to the PET/CT suite’s lighting and sound system to provide a comfortable, relaxing environment for patients.

Best of all, says Casey Robinson, CRMC’s cardiac and imaging services administrator, “Higher imaging resolution can significantly improve disease detection.”
