Memorial Medical Center in Springfield, IL, will receive the 2016 AHA-McKesson Quest for Quality Prize on Sunday for its leadership and innovation in quality improvement and safety. Finalist Memorial Hermann Greater Heights Hospital in Houston also will be honored, and Our Lady of the Lake Regional Medical Center in Baton Rouge, LA, will receive a Citation of Merit. “These hospitals have made remarkable strides in the quality of their patient care and they did so because they were committed to excellence,” said AHA President and CEO Rick Pollack. “The entire hospital field can learn from the lessons demonstrated by the hard work of these hospitals, their boards and employees.” The awards, supported by a grant from McKesson Corp., will be presented at the Health Forum-AHA Leadership Summit in San Diego.
