The AHA Workforce Center Nov. 1 will host the first in a series of webinars focused on sustainable health care delivery through strategic workforce development. The AHA earlier this year issued a report to help hospital and health system leaders align the skills and abilities of their organization’s current workforce with anticipated needs as health care continues to change. Among other areas, the report focuses on the need to achieve a multi-dimensional, diverse workforce; cultivate new, emerging roles and retool the current workforce to deliver care across care settings; and address workplace safety and burnout challenges. On the webinar, Erin Fraher, director of health and workforce research and policy at the Cecil G. Sheps Center for Health Services Research at the University of North Carolina, will discuss challenges and opportunities related to these issues. To register for the 2 p.m. ET webinar, click here.
