AHA has activated The Care Fund to provide support to hospital employees in Puerto Rico who experienced significant property loss or damage from any natural disasters like the recent Hurricanes Irma and Maria. The association has contributed an initial $50,000 to the fund. To donate to the fund for hospital employees in Puerto Rico, visit www.thecarefund.net. Each hospital will identify those employees with the most significant needs and disperse the funds accordingly. The Texas and Florida hospital associations also continue to collect donations to assist hospital employees impacted by Hurricanes Harvey and Irma. Visit www.tha.org and www.fha.org/donate for more information or to make a donation.
