The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention will host a May 23 webinar for hospital epidemiologists on resource management and priority setting during infectious disease outbreaks. Part of an Outbreak Response Training Program developed by CDC with the Society for Healthcare Epidemiology of America, the webinar is the second in a series on effective communication in an outbreak situation. Topics will include identifying stakeholders who should be involved in epidemic preparedness; recognizing areas of limited resources and anticipating needs in times of crisis; and establishing decision-making frameworks when faced with limited resources.
