The American Organization of Nurse Executives today announced its 2017 president-elect: Bob Dent, senior vice president, chief operating officer and chief nursing officer for Midland Memorial Hospital in Midland, TX. As president-elect, Dent will serve as AONE president in 2018. He currently serves on the AONE Board and is a past chair of the AONE Foundation and past board member for the Texas Organization of Nurse Executives. Also elected to the AONE Board of Directors were: Erik Martin, executive clinical director of the heart and vascular service line at The Christ Hospital Health Network in Cincinnati; Cole Edmonson, chief nursing officer at Texas Health Presbyterian Hospital Dallas; and Dana Bjarnason, vice president and chief nursing officer and associate dean for clinical affairs at Oregon Health and Science University in Portland.
