CMS updates specifications for 2017 electronic quality reporting
The Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services has updated the specifications for the electronic clinical quality measures that eligible hospitals and professionals will electronically report to CMS quality reporting programs in calendar year 2017, including the Physician Quality Reporting System and the Inpatient Quality Reporting Program. CMS updates the specifications annually with new codes, corrections and clarifications to align with clinical guidelines.
