The American Organization of Nurse Executives on March 31 will present its 2016 Lifetime Achievement Award to Kathleen Sanford, senior vice president and chief nursing officer at Catholic Health Initiatives, during the AONE annual meeting in Fort Worth, TX.  Sanford is a past president of AONE and the Washington Organization of Nurse Executives Board, and has served on the AHA Board, Nursing Organizations Alliance Council and Washington State Hospital Association Board. She retired as a Colonel from the Washington Army National Guard after a career that included eight years of active duty service, and has been an adjunct faculty member for The University of Washington and Pacific Lutheran University.
