CMS Begins Issuing Warning Notices to Hospitals for Noncompliance with Hospital Price Transparency Rule

The hospital price transparency rule took effect Jan. 1, 2021. CMS verified for the AHA that the agency has begun proactive audits of hospital websites and a review of complaints submitted through the CMS Hospital Price Transparency website.

Skilled Nursing Facility PPS Proposed Rule for FY 2022

On April 8, the Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS) issued the fiscal year (FY) 2022 proposed rule for the skilled nursing facility (SNF) prospective payment system (PPS). Comments on the proposed rule are due to CMS by June 7. The final rule is expected around Aug. 1 and will take effect Oct. 1.

New naloxone nasal spray at least doubles the dose
