Leadership Skills and Competencies for the Future Health Care Environment

Success in this new world will require development and execution of new business and service approaches, new partnerships and alliances and new capabilities. As a result, the leadership skills and competencies that will be required for the future health care environment are evolving; traditional roles are changing and new roles are emerging.

Spencer Stuart and the American Hospital Association conducted a survey and in-depth interviews with executives from leading health care organizations to understand how they are responding to these changing market dynamics and how they are structuring their leadership teams and boards for success. During this webinar, Jack Schlosser from Spencer Stuart discussed the results from their research and provided insights from the field. Dan Wolterman from Memorial Hermann provided a health system perspective on how his organization is building and refining a leadership team for the future health care environment, how they are addressing gaps and developing new competencies through recruiting and training.
