Democratic leaders unveil economic agenda
Senate Democratic Leader Charles Schumer and House Democratic Leader Nancy Pelosi today unveiled an economic plan focused on improving wages, lowering costs and boosting job opportunities. To lower the cost of prescription drugs, the plan calls for creating a new agency to investigate and take action against drug price gouging; allowing Medicare Part D to negotiate drug prices; and requiring drug makers to release data to justify significant price increases.
