Reminder: Saturday deadline for new participants in Medicare EHR incentive program
Eligible professionals, hospitals and critical access hospitals participating in the Medicare Electronic Health Records Incentive Program for the first time in 2016 must attest to meaningful use for a continuous 90-day reporting period by Oct. 1 to avoid a payment adjustment in 2017. All returning participants currently must report for a full calendar year, although the Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services recently proposed a 90-day reporting period and will communicate any changes to the program once final. For more on the program’s requirements for 2016, visit www.cms.gov or see the recent CMS webinars for eligible professionals and hospitals.
