The Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services Feb. 20 finalized proposed changes to how states calculate the hospital-specific cap for Medicaid Disproportionate Share Hospitals. The final rule implements changes to the calculation under the Consolidations Appropriations Act of 2021 and clarifies the timing and availability of certain data, methodology and technical requirements in the proposed rule. AHA members will receive a special communication with more details soon.
