AHA and its Institute for Diversity and Health Equity announced that members should complete the biennial diversity and health equity benchmark survey no later than Friday, May 20. This will ensure the best, most efficient data for this tool that evaluates the state of the field’s diversity, equity and inclusion efforts. Filling out this survey is critical toward AHA’s mission of ensuring every member hospital and health system closes the health disparity gap within their communities. An insufficient amount of data could affect the AHA’s ability to advocate for vital legislation that will improve DEI efforts in hospitals and health systems.

The survey should be completed by organizational leaders whose focus is on health equity and/or diversity and inclusion initiatives. If you have questions related to the survey or need assistance, please contact AHA’s survey support team at surveysupport@aha.org.
