The Nebraska Hospital Association Friday named as its president, effective Dec. 6, Jeremy Nordquist, who currently serves as government affairs director for Nebraska Medicine and has 20 years’ experience in advocacy at the state and federal level. Laura Redoutey, NHA president since 2000, will retire Dec. 31.

“Laura has been a great partner to the AHA as we worked to address important health care issues expanding coverage, workplace violence and opioid addiction,” said AHA President and CEO Rick Pollack. “During her tenure she led efforts to expand Medicaid, ensuring access to health care for thousands of Nebraskans. She has been an effective voice for all Nebraska hospitals during the pandemic, creating strong state agency partnerships. And, she recognized early on the lead role hospitals must play in quality and patient safety and provided strong leadership in our joint efforts through the Hospital Improvement Innovation Network to help hospitals in their journey to improve care for patients.”
