The Association of University Programs in Health Administration, AHA Institute for Diversity and Health Equity, American College of Healthcare Executives, National Association of Health Services Executives, and National Association of Latino Healthcare Executives today announced the Teaching Excellence in Diversity, Equity, Inclusion, Belonging, and Social Justice Award, which will recognize the work and accomplishments of health care academics working toward diversity, equity and inclusion. 

“These challenges of Diversity, Equity, Inclusion, Belonging and Social Justice are in the forefront of our work throughout the health care academic and provider communities,” said Michelle Hood, AHA executive vice president and chief operating officer. “And we are proud to be part of recognizing teaching excellence in support of this work.” 

The award will be presented at AUPHA’s 2022 Annual Meeting June 7-9 in Salt Lake City. Nomination and selection information will be made available at a later date.
