AHA launches Preferred Cybersecurity Provider Program

During the pandemic, there has been a dramatic increase in cyberattacks targeting hospitals and health systems, including disruptive ransomware attacks that have interrupted patient care and risked patient safety. As the result of COVID-19, financially constrained hospitals and health systems often have fewer resources to bolster their cybersecurity defenses to protect their expanded networks, their data, and most importantly, their patients and the communities they serve.  

Feedback from AHA members indicates that, as they strive to meet this urgent need, they would like access to trusted information to help them select cybersecurity solution providers that address their specific cybersecurity challenge areas. The AHA Cybersecurity and Risk Advisory team responded by creating the AHA Preferred Cybersecurity Provider Program to aid members in their cybersecurity provider selection process.
