Richard Beigi, M.D., president of UPMC Magee Womens Hospital in Pittsburgh and professor of reproductive sciences at University of Pittsburgh School of Medicine, will serve as 2021 chair of the AHA Maternal and Child Health Council. Lara Khouri, senior vice president and chief strategy officer for Children’s Hospital of Los Angeles, will serve as chair-elect, and Delvecchio Finley, CEO of Alameda Health System in Oakland, Calif., as AHA board liaison.

New council members for 2021 include: Cheri Johnson, SVP of patient care and chief nursing officer of Woman’s Hospital, in Baton Rouge, La.; David Paul, M.D., chair of the department of pediatrics and professor of pediatrics at ChristianaCare, in Wilmington, Del.; and Lisa Saul, M.D., president of Mother Baby Clinical Service Line, Allina Health, Minneapolis.

The council represents AHA-member women's and children's health provider organizations and participates in the AHA's advocacy, policy and resource development.
