IHA president to join AHA as chief strategy/relationship officer, CEO of Health Forum
Maryjane Wurth will join the AHA on Jan. 28 as chief strategy and relationship officer and president and CEO of Health Forum, leading the organization’s business development, strategic planning, member relations and personal membership groups. Wurth currently serves as president and CEO of the Illinois Hospital Association, a position she has held since 2009, where she has represented more than 200 hospitals, 50 health systems and multiple accountable care providers. Before that, she spent 12 years as the chief operating officer of the Healthcare Association of New York State, where she also served as the president and CEO of HANYS Solutions Inc., the association’s for-profit subsidiary. “As one of the most respected health care association executives in our field, Maryjane enjoys the confidence of her state hospital association colleagues, as well as hospital and health system executives in Illinois and throughout the nation,” said AHA President and CEO Rick Pollack. “Maryjane has a successful track record of implementing innovative methods to meet the needs of members, and help them do jobs better, today and in the future. We’re fortunate and excited that she’s coming aboard.”
