AHA President and CEO Rick Pollack and AHA Chair-elect Designate Gene Woods, president and chief operating officer of CHRISTUS Health, this week released a short video explaining the #123forEquity Pledge to Act Campaign to eliminate health care disparities. So far, more than 800 hospitals and 21 state and metropolitan hospital associations have joined the campaign, which builds on the National Call to Action to Eliminate Health Care Disparities launched in 2011 by the AHA, American College of Healthcare Executives, Association of American Medical Colleges, Catholic Health Association of the United States and America’s Essential Hospitals.
