The AHA on May 4 will present four Hospital Awards for Volunteer Excellence, recognizing extraordinary hospital volunteer programs for their positive impact on patients, hospitals, health systems and communities. The honorees are: “Fairview’s Youth Grief Services,” Fairview Health Services in Minneapolis; “Senior Health Insurance Information Program,” UnityPoint Health-St. Luke’s Hospital in Cedar Rapids, IA; “Tails on the Trails Walk-A-Thon,” Tri-City Medical Center in Oceanside, CA; and “Victory Band,” Detroit (MI) Veterans Affairs Healthcare System.
