AHA Regulatory Advisory: Detailed summary of CMS's proposed IRF payment rule

The Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services April 16 issued its fiscal year 2021 proposed rule for the inpatient rehabilitation facility prospective payment system. The agency's proposal includes a 2.5% increase of IRF payments, relative to FY 2020, which would be a net increase of approximately $270 million.
