NAM collaborative releases case studies on reducing clinician burnout

The National Academy of Medicine's Action Collaborative on Clinician Well-Being and Resilience today released case studies on initiatives that reduce clinician burnout and support clinician well-being at organizations across the country. “Although there is no one-size-fits-all solution for clinician well-being, techniques and resources described in the case studies may provide a useful starting point for other groups,” the collaborative said. Additional case studies will be posted as they become available. AHA is an inaugural sponsoring member of the collaborative, launched in December 2016 to provide a platform for professional and educational organizations to advance evidence-based solutions for resilience and well-being in the face of clinician burnout, depression and suicide. In May, the AHA Physician Alliance released a playbook to help hospital and health system leaders address burnout in their organizations.
