Hospitals and health systems may apply through May 7 for the AHA Equity of Care Award, which recognizes organizations participating in the AHA's #123forEquity campaign for extraordinary success in advancing diversity and equity through data collection, leadership, cultural awareness and partnerships. The awards will be presented at the AHA Leadership Summit July 26-28 in San Diego. For more information, click here. The AHA's Health Research & Educational Trust and Institute for Diversity and Health Equity also have launched the 2018 Population Health, Equity and Diversity Survey. Recently emailed to AHA-member CEOs for completion by May 11, the survey is designed to inform the field about hospitals' and health systems' ongoing efforts to address population health, health equity and diversity in the communities they serve. Aggregate findings from the survey will be shared in various forms, including whitepapers, presentations and educational forums. For more information, contact AHA survey support at surveysupport@aha.org or 800-530-9092.
