Prairie Lakes Healthcare System - Prairie Lakes Caring Club House

The Prairie Lakes Caring Club House is a hospital hospitality house built on the medical campus of Prairie Lakes Healthcare System. The Prairie Lakes Healthcare Foundation raised funds from the community to support the project. Building Trades students from Lake Area Technical Institute in Watertown built the house, and operational funding is provided through guest gifts and other donations.

Who is it for?

The Caring Club House is a temporary “home away from home” for patients of Prairie Lakes Healthcare System and their families. The Caring Club House is designed to look, feel and function like a home to give people a comfortable setting in which to relax during what may be an otherwise stressful time. Guests may stay for a nominal donation or for free if they are unable to make a gift.

Why do they do it?

Several patients travel from throughout the region to receive care at Prairie Lakes Healthcare System. Often, their families come from across the country to provide care and support. The Caring Club House is a convenient and affordable lodging option.
