Kevin Most, D.O., to Chair AHA's Committee on Clinical Leadership

WASHINGTON – January 19, 2016 – Kevin Most, D.O., vice president of medical affairs and chief medical officer (CMO) for Northwestern Medicine at Central DuPage Hospital in Winfield, Ill., will lead the American Hospital Association’s (AHA) Committee for Clinical Leadership (CCL) as chair of its 29-member committee for 2016.

The CCL has been charged with providing clinical input to the AHA advocacy and public policy process, serving as a clinical resource on policy issues, as well as guiding the ongoing work of the AHA's Physician Leadership Forum (PLF). The CCL also is concerned with issues relating to standards and requirements for clinical education programs and activities and includes representatives from the medical, nursing and pharmacy fields.

Dr. Most was has been serving Central DuPage Hospital (CDH) since 1990. He held previous positions as senior medical director of the Central DuPage Hospital Convenient Care Centers and medical director of the Business Health Unit. He also remains a physician on staff at CDH.

Dr. Most earned his bachelor's degree in medical technology from University of Kansas, Lawrence, Kan., and earned his medical degree from Chicago College of Osteopathic Medicine at Midwestern University, Downers Grove, Ill. He completed his residency in family medicine at Lutheran General Hospital in Park Ridge, Ill. He earned his Master’s in Business Administration from the University of Notre Dame in Indiana.

David Perlstein, M.D., M.B.A., FAAP, executive vice president and CMO of SBH Health System in Bronx, N.Y., is this year’s chair-elect and will assume the role of chairman in 2017. Lee B. Sacks, M.D., executive vice president and CMO at Advocate Health Care in Downers Grove, Ill., is immediate past chair.
