The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention Friday updated its recommendations for clinicians retesting children tested with recalled LeadCare lead test kits. The Food and Drug Administration and Magellan Diagnostics recently expanded their Class 1 recall of the LeadCare II, LeadCare Plus and LeadCare Ultra Blood Lead Tests due to a risk for falsely low results.
