University Hospitals announces next CEO
Cleveland-based University Hospitals has named Cliff Megerian, M.D., to succeed Thomas Zenty III, when he retires as CEO of University Hospitals Health System in January 2021 after nearly 18 years at the helm. Megerian has served as president of the UH physician network and UH System Institutes, and will serve as president of the health system during the interim period.
Anne Arundel Medical Center names president
Anne Arundel Medical Center in Annapolis, Md., has named Sherry Perkins, R.N., president. Perkins served as AAMC chief operating officer and chief nursing officer from 2006 to 2016, and has served as president and CEO of University of Maryland Capital Region Health, among other leadership roles.
Henry Ford Medical Group names CEO
Detroit-based Henry Ford Health System has named Steven Kalkanis, M.D., to succeed William Conway, M.D., as CEO of its medical group. Kalkanis also will serve as senior vice president and chief academic officer for the health system. He has previously served as chair of its neurosurgery department and medical director of the Henry Ford Cancer Institute. Conway is stepping down after more than 40 years with the health system.
Tennessee Hospital Association names COO
The Tennessee Hospital Association has named Will Cromer executive vice president and chief operating officer. He most recently worked at a venture capital firm in Nashville that launches tech-enabled health care service companies.
Clara Maass Medical Center names COO
Clara Maass Medical Center in Belleville, N.J., has named Jeffrey Holt COO. He most recently served as COO of Millard Fillmore Suburban and DeGraff Memorial Hospitals and system vice president of clinical services for Buffalo, N.Y.-based Kaleida Health.
