Maryland health system names CEO

The University of Maryland Medical System has named Mohan Suntha, M.D., president and CEO effective Dec. 1. He currently serves as president and CEO of the University of Maryland Medical Center, the system’s flagship academic medical center in Baltimore. 

Ohio health system appoints hospital president

Cleveland-based University Hospitals has appointed Alan Papa president of UH Ahuja Medical Center in Beachwood, Ohio, effective Nov. 18. He most recently served chief operating officer for Cleveland Clinic Akron General. 

New York health system selects CEO 

Montefiore Medicine, the umbrella organization for Montefiore Health System and Albert Einstein College of Medicine, has named Philip Ozuah CEO effective Nov. 15. He currently serves as president of Bronx, N.Y.-based Montefiore Health System and previously was physician-in-chief of the Children's Hospital at Montefiore. 

North Carolina hospital appoints CEO

Carteret Health Care in Morehead City, N.C., has selected William Case as its next CEO. He most recently was president of Vidant Beaufort Hospital in Washington, N.C. 

Maryland health system names CNO

Salisbury, Md.-based Peninsula Regional Health System has named Sarah Arnett as its next chief nursing officer. She has served as executive director of acute care services at Peninsula Regional Medical Center since last October.
