Health care innovation happens every day of the week in all parts of the country. Hospitals and health systems are leading many of these innovative efforts and working with partners on all types of efforts to improve quality and lower costs.

#healthcareinnovation ThursdayLaunched just over a year ago, the AHA Center for Health Innovation is working with our members to lead, connect and transform the future of health care. We offer market intelligence, key insights, targeted education on leading practices, actionable data, tools and resources. We’re preparing our members for the future by identifying, assessing and analyzing health care trends that will have the most impact.

"Our goal is to help you keep your finger on the pulse of all things innovation and transformation while sharing key learnings and insights."

Each week, we’ll be sharing some of those insights and learnings as part of a new blog series called #HealthCareInnovation Thursday. We’ll have columns from our Center leaders as well as innovators in the field talking about pressing and emerging topics, including artificial intelligence and the workforce; affordability and value; cybersecurity; population health; and diversity and health equity; just to name a few.

Our goal is to help you:

  • Keep your finger on the pulse of all things innovation and transformation while sharing key learnings and insights.
  • Give you a glimpse at where health care is heading next and how to prepare.
  • Challenge you to think bigger and bolder.

Watch for our columns in AHA Today every Thursday and on our webpage at aha.org/news. Follow us at #HealthCareInnovation Thursday on social media.

Maryjane Wurth is AHA executive vice president and chief operating officer.
