AHA released a social media toolkit May 30 in advance of the eighth annual #HAVhope Friday on June 7. The national day of awareness highlights how America’s hospitals and health systems continue to seek partnerships, innovations and creative thinking to foster peace and combat violence in their workplaces and communities. The toolkit includes sample social media posts and images that advocate for workplace violence prevention and highlights the AHA-supported Safety from Violence for Healthcare Employees (SAVE) Act (H.R. 2584/S. 2768), bipartisan legislation that would provide federal protections from violence for health care workers.
