HHS, states partner to improve maternal, child health
Iowa, Massachusetts, Maryland, Michigan, Minnesota and New Mexico will participate in a new Department of Health and Human Services collaborative that will bring health care providers, experts and community partners together to study and improve postpartum mortality. A related National Governors Association initiative will focus on implementing policy changes to improve maternal and child health outcomes in rural America, HHS said.
