Hospitals, health systems and other health care organizations can sign up to host one or more interns for the Institute for Diversity and Health Equity’s 2023 Summer Enrichment Program, which begins the first week of June and runs through mid-August. The SEP is an intensive 10-week, paid, full-time internship that provides diverse first- and second-year graduate students with training and mentoring from an experienced health care leader, as well as experiential learning and networking that exposes them to the inner workings of health care organizations and the field. Since its inception in 1994, more than 1,500 students have participated in the SEP, many of whom now hold senior leadership and board positions at organizations across the country.
