The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention’s Advisory Committee on Immunization Practices today unanimously recommended Moderna’s COVID-19 vaccine for children aged 6-11 and adolescents aged 12-17. The FDA last week authorized the vaccine for these ages. If the CDC endorses ACIP’s recommendation, the Moderna vaccine would join the Pfizer COVID-19 vaccine currently available for these age groups.
