The Senate last night passed and sent to the president for his signature a $1.5 trillion omnibus appropriations bill funding the federal government through the end of the current fiscal year. The package also includes certain telehealth, maternal health, Medicaid and other provisions beneficial to hospitals and health systems. The president is expected to sign the legislation. The House next week plans to vote on a separate bill with COVID-19 preparedness funding, but its prospects in the Senate are uncertain.
