CMS launches nursing home resource center for COVID-19, toolkit on transitioning long-term care beneficiaries back home
The Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services last week launched the Nursing Home Resource Center to provide the latest COVID-19 information, guidance and data. CMS said the centralized hub includes resources for clinicians, including facility inspection reports, training and payment policy information.
In addition, CMS has launched a toolkit to help strengthen state Medicaid infrastructure to better support beneficiaries transitioning from long-term care facilities to their homes.
The toolkit includes examples of state models and best practices for safe, person-centered care of children, individuals with disabilities and older adults in a variety of settings.
