The AHA’s Association for the Health Care Environment recently presented its Environmental Services Department of the Year Award to Cohen Children’s Medical Center in New Hyde Park, N.Y., and University of Vermont Medical Center in Burlington.

The award recognizes a department’s significant contributions to the overall patient experience and health care organization’s mission. Also receiving honorable mentions this year were Children’s Health Plano (Texas) and CaroMont Regional Medical Center in Gastonia, N.C. AHE is an AHA professional membership group.
