Health and Human Services Secretary Alex Azar last week announced that Paul Mango will assume the role of deputy chief of staff for policy, a new position overseeing policy planning and coordination for the department. Mango currently serves as the chief of staff at the Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services. “Paul is a highly regarded health care and policy leader whom I have known for more than a decade, and I cannot imagine a better choice for this new role,” Azar said. Mango will serve under newly appointed Chief of Staff Brian Harrison.
