Inpatient and outpatient prospective payment system hospitals, inpatient psychiatric facilities and PPS-exempt cancer hospitals can preview their data for the February update to Hospital Compare through Dec. 30 at the QualityNet Secure Portal. For hospitals participating in the inpatient and outpatient quality reporting programs, the data includes their overall hospital quality star ratings. The Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services has updated the star ratings methodology to address some stakeholder concerns following the July preview period, and revised the preview reports and login process in an effort to enhance the user experience.
