AHE program to help health care leaders evaluate products, equipment

A new certificate program from the AHA’s Association for the Healthcare Environment will teach health care leaders who purchase or recommend products and equipment advanced skills for analyzing their value and ownership cost through a two-day instructor-led workshop starting in April. “The [Value-based Product Evaluation & Implementation] certificate program is unique in that it’s designed around a real-life example of a director at a facility creating an actionable plan for change based on the principles of value analysis,” said AHE President Pam Toppel. “Participants learn to identify credible research and data to make a sound purchasing decision and craft an evidence-based proposal to influence targeted key stakeholders and value analysis team members.”
