The AHA encourages all hospitals to complete the 10th annual Information Technology Supplement to the AHA Annual Survey. The survey was mailed to hospital CEOs this week for their chief information officer to complete on paper or online by Jan. 26. "Even if your hospital has not adopted any or all of the specific technologies in the survey, your answers are helpful as we carefully monitor the Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services' implementation of incentive programs on meaningful use of electronic health records," AHA President and CEO Rick Pollack notes in the survey cover letter. “This will also help make the case for sensible policies that support the sharing of health information and patient engagement, while protecting patients and not overburdening providers.” For more information, contact AHA survey support at 800-530-9092 or survey.support@aha.org.
