The College of Healthcare Information Management Executives will conduct the annual “HealthCare’s Most Wired” hospital survey and benchmarking program going forward, AHA and CHIME announced today. An active supporter of the program since its inception in 1999, CHIME transitioned to a partner role with AHA in 2015 and will now assume all aspects of the program. “With a membership of nearly 2,400 [chief information officers], CHIME provides an ideal home for Most Wired,” said Maryjane Wurth, AHA’s executive vice president and chief operating officer and president and CEO of its Health Forum subsidiary. “CHIME has direct access to the health care IT leaders who participate in the survey and who benefit from knowing the trends that emerge in the results.” CHIME President and CEO Russell Branzell said the organization “is honored to have the opportunity to continue this tradition of acknowledging exceptional health care IT leadership and, through the survey results, identifying and sharing best practices.”
