The Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services today issued a request for information on reducing regulatory burdens and improving health care coverage choices. Specifically, the agency seeks comments on changes to existing regulations or guidance that could further empower patients and promote choice in the individual and small group health insurance markets; stabilize the individual, small group and non-traditional health insurance markets; enhance affordability; and affirm the traditional regulatory authority of the states in regulating the business of health insurance. Comments are due 30 days after publication in the June 12 Federal Register.
